Workspace transformation of the month: Jellis Craig
Modern industrial meets homely to provide a sense of possibility at this metropolitan real estate provider.
Featuring artistic pronged lighting, hanging greenery and outdoor-inspired flooring, this A1 Office workspace transformation for Jellis Craig is a perfect blend of industrial inspiration and home-based comfort.
Entering Jellis Craig in Richmond, clients and staff are greeted by a modern, yet earthy gallery-style entrance that sets the tone for a truly unique space designed to both wow guests and prioritise employee needs.
Bench seats crafted into the bay windows at the front of the office provide the perfect place for clients to wait in the comfort of a bespoke nook, while maximising the space for the entrance area.
A cement and wood paneled reception desk sits before a beautifully calming artwork by Melbourne-based artist Stacey Mrmarkovski – the perfect entrance to the bright work and meeting space.
Space is carefully considered throughout the office, with glass and slim walls used to maximise meeting spaces, and handcrafted cabinetry and shelving perfectly placed to meet staff storage needs.
Combining carpet and plants that bring the outside in with industrial-style fixtures provides a feeling of opportunity. Where elements that seemingly wouldn’t work together thrive in harmony, providing inspiration and delight.
Pauline Mcdonald, Office Manager Jellis Craig Richmond
Pauline Mcdonald, Office Manager from Jellis Craig Richmond said the recent workspace transformation had wowed both employees and clients alike.
A1 Office: Why did you decide to create a new office?
Pauline: We had totally outgrown our previous office and it had a very awkward layout and no natural light.
A1 Office: What were the key elements of your brief to A1 Office?
Pauline: To provide us with an open plan, flexible environment that could grow with our team.
A1 Office: What were the best ideas we came up with during the project?
Pauline: The design is incredible… we have both flexible and fixed stations, an abundance of natural light, the colour scheme is gorgeous, the plants are fantastic, the communal work area is sensational and our kitchen and lunch area is incredibly functional in a small space.
A1 Office: In one year from now – what does success look like?
Pauline: Our clients are impressed to no end when they come into the new office. We are so proud that everyone gets a full tour of our work area. The staff really love coming here everyday.
